Rodman Schley, MAI, SRA is a nationally recognized expert in commercial real estate valuation and a thought leader in real estate investing. With over $20 billion in real estate assets appraised throughout his career, Rodman is known for his precision, integrity, and ability to deliver insights that drive sound investment decisions.

As the Founder and CEO of Commercial Valuation Consultants, later acquired by BBG, Inc., Rodman built one of the top boutique appraisal firms in the country. Today, he leads Commercial Valuation Advisors, where he specializes in complex commercial valuation assignments across all major asset types—including multifamily, office, industrial, hospitality assets, retail centers and mixed-use projects.

Holding the MAI and SRA designations from the Appraisal Institute, Rodman has also served at the highest levels of the profession on the Appraisal Institute National Board of Directors and as National President of the Appraisal Institute in 2021. In these roles, he advocated for educational excellence, innovation, and advocacy for the future of the appraisal profession.

He is the author of three books: The Outlier Mindset, a personal development guide that empowers readers to break from convention and design a life filled with purpose, performance, and clarity; Vacation Property Secrets, an investment playbook that teaches the fundamentals of purchasing and profiting from short-term vacation rentals through smart, data-driven strategies; and Finding Your Fortune in Repossessed Real Estate, a practical guide for uncovering lucrative opportunities in foreclosed and distressed properties.
